Salary: €66,000 - €78,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Portugal - Remote (once a month)
Maxwell Bond have partnered with one of Europe's leading online brands who are looking for a Data Engineering Technical Lead to join on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about data, enjoys being hands-on, and wants to lead a team delivering scalable and high-impact data solutions.
You'll play a key role in shaping the organisation's data strategy, connecting systems across multiple teams, and leading a small team of data engineers whilst remaining hands-on.
What You'll Do as Data Engineering Technical Lead:
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, driving best practices and delivery.
- Design and build scalable data platforms, overseeing the development of data pipelines and APIs.
- Play a key role in shaping the organisations data vision, connecting data across multiple teams and products.
- Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to align with business goals.
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years' experience in data engineering and software development, with leadership exposure.
- Proven experience working on cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and modern data tooling such as Data Factory, Data Lakes, Databricks & PowerBI.
- Strong understanding of MCP Servers and programming languages, ideally C#.
- Ability to work across both data engineering and API integration, with familiarity with CI/CD and software engineering practices.
