Salary: Up to Eur110,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Location: Rotterdam on a Hybrid basis.

Summary

A new role has opened up for a Data Engineering Manager and we are looking to speak with potential candidates as soon as possible.

This is a position based in Rotterdam, on a hybrid basis and we need candidates to have the full right to work in the Netherlands. The ability to speak Dutch is a bonus for this position, it isn't a full requirement.

The company are truly global, they have a client base across the world and offices in over 20 countries. Their products a widely used and play key roles, they are effectively business critical systems for many of their customers.

By combining advanced analytics into their already award winning products they will be able to add significant value to customer operations, they operate in an industry where AI is already makes significant changes and efficiencies. I would say it is an industry where AI would add huge value, if done correctly of course.

The Role

I would say that this role is a technical leader, we are looking for someone to lead and manage the team, set priorities, coach and train and more, but also be significantly involved technically. You can expect to be "hands-on" in this role.

Some of the technical pieces will cover:

• Ownership of Data Collection, across platforms and products
• Design and Optimise Pipelines (In Databricks)
• Standardizing ETL Processes
• Follow standards of Data Management
• Integration of analytics solutions into products
• Work the rest of the wider data team to ensure Data Engineering harmonises with the rest of the Data & Analytics team and adds value.
• Drive best practice, identify and upskill improvement areas.

Requirements

• Leadership or Management within a Data Engineering Capacity
• Strong technical experience as a Data Engineer throughout career.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, ETL processes etc.
• Full written and spoken business English is essential
