Want to see us in action? Follow us on The team: The Data Engineering team own the pipelines that provide the business with the data it relies on. We're responsible for hundreds of different processes that work with data from Zopa's own services, our partners, and third party data providers. We tackle complex problems and have to build solutions that are reliable and scalable, while remaining cost effective. We work with all of Zopa's product teams and our work is crucial to delivering a great experience for our customers and developing attractive new product offerings. A day in the life: 
- Engineers in the team are typically working on one or more projects at a time as well as smaller BAU tasks
- We look for ways to optimise processes and make development smoother, for example automating parts of our PR review process
- Engineers often pair on work or just provide support to the rest of the team
- Other technical teams come to us for advice on integrating with our data platform, and we support product development by making sure high-quality analytics are always available
- We always make time for learning and development and people tend to have a Udemy course or book on the go
- You've previously worked as a Data Engineer and are skilled in Python and SQL
- You want to take ownership for production services and understand how important data is to a modern business
- You understand the benefits of CI/CD, automated testing, and agile development
- You're curious and constantly learning, and want to continue developing in the role
- You want to be part of a team and put its success above your own
- Experience working in a regulated environment - e.g. finance or healthcare
