Data Engineer Amsterdam Area

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join one of our biggest clients in a high-impact team focused on fraud prevention and real-time data innovation.

The challenge:

Help build and maintain a scalable, secure, and high-performance data platform that supports real-time, batch, and streaming integrations. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and BI specialists.

Your expertise:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and processing
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)
• Familiar with Azure-native services like EventHub and Azure Functions
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams

Bonus points if you also bring:

• Experience with Azure DevOps tools (Repos, Pipelines, Boards)
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and monitoring
• Exposure to workflow automation tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, or Apache Airflow

What you can expect:

• A 1-year contract, with high chances of extension
• Hybrid setup (1 day per week on-site in Amstelveen)
• 40 hours per week
• Gross monthly salary between €5,500 and €6,500, based on experience
