Job Description

About the job: Kent is looking for a Data Analyst on a 6 month fixed term basis to work within Kent's centre of excellence for Pre FEED & FEED. You will support a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in Low Carbon / Energy Transition and traditional international energy projects.

The role involves organising, analysing and developing our data, including constructing spreadsheet based models, improving our data filing systems and setting up a new software system for future use. You will work closely with the team to develop the estimating discipline through better data management. The role may also include working with other disciplines on similar projects and requirements and may involve limited travel to mainly UK locations as required.

Our professionals collaborate across disciplines to provide complete and efficient solutions to our customers. We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week.

Skills & Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, organising and analysis of accumulated data
  • Develop tools and Excel based models to utilise analysed data
  • Support development of the cost estimation discipline, including training estimators in the use of developed tools and data analysis techniques
  • Support other business units with data analysis
  • Collate and maintain company cost data and norms
  • Improve estimating methods and tools within the cost estimating function
  • Other related tasks and scopes of work commensurate with ability and skill sets
  • Develop your knowledge and skills to support a wide range of data and software applications

In addition, the employee may be required to perform other ad hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities and role within the organization.

Your knowledge, skills, education and experience
  • Background in data analysis
  • Understanding of programming languages such as Python
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good ability in MS Excel and other MS Office tools

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication
