Office based in Warrington, Cheshire, located just 3 minutes from M56, Jct 10.
Salary from £26k to £30k dependent on experience/skills

We are seeking a Data Analyst to become a valuable part of our IT department at Pennington Choices.

About this role The role will be a hands-on position and requires a person who is highly proficient/skilled with Microsoft Excel, any exposure to Power BI and DAX script is preferable but not essential.

We are at the start of our journey towards predominantly using Power BI and a data warehouse to delivery our data commitments, so this role is great opportunity to improve our current data delivery situation but also be part of moulding the future of it.
  • You will be responsible for building and designing Excel grids with populated data, creating a fast and reliable data delivery system
  • Preferably, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and DAX script. Training will be given on these if its not something you have exposure too.
  • You will be responsible for working with all business service lines to ensure smooth data delivery to clients.
You will collaborate closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other IT professionals to ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and deliver insightful dashboards and reports that support decision-making processes to customers and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities include
  • Working with the wider data team to deliver customer data requirements on all our service lines.
  • To produce data grids in MS Excel for our clients and colleagues.
  • Create methods of streamlining/automating the data delivery journey to our clients.
  • To provide BI dashboards and data sets to internal colleagues using Power BI or any other platform the company decides it needs. Training will be given if you do not have exposure to this.
  • Perform data manipulation and transformations as required to meet customer and colleague data requirements. Training will be given if you do not have exposure to this.
Role requirements, skills and/or experience
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel
  • Minimum of 2/3 years of experience in data positions where you have had to use Microsoft Excel in complex data scenarios.
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills :
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling in Power BI.
  • Any MS Excel certification and Power BI qualifications
