Cyber Security Specialist

Salary Circa £60,000

A bit about the job:

As our go-to expert for Information Security, you will serve as the primary contact for all TPS matters, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will play a crucial role in supplier security onboarding, ensuring new suppliers meet our stringent security standards from the start.

Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and assure critical suppliers against industry-standard information security controls.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, and Aviva suppliers to identify and mitigate key risks.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in information security auditing or assurance, and experience in third-party assurance or relevant certifications is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Security Onboarding: Collaborate with suppliers to establish security standards from the outset to protect customer data.

  • Risk Assessment: Act as the main contact for TPS matters, working with internal teams, consultants, and suppliers to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Security Assurance: Assess and ensure our critical suppliers meet industry-standard information security controls, and support them with remedial actions where necessary.

  • Contract Management: Review and negotiate security clauses during supplier onboarding to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Contract Management & Risk Assessment: Experience in reviewing and negotiating security clauses, assessing and mitigating security risks related to suppliers.

  • Information Security & Compliance: Ability to conduct security assessments, evaluate third-party controls, and familiarity with standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal skills to work effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and suppliers.

  • Analytical & Project Management Skills: Capable of analyzing complex security issues, developing solutions, and managing multiple onboarding projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skills in Microsoft 365, including managing workbook options, creating formulas/macros, and handling advanced charts and tables.
