About the role

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cybersecurity products. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet high security standards and customer needs.

You will play a key role in incident response, investigating and mitigating security breaches to minimize impact, and proactively monitoring threats. You will also communicate findings to stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards to protect data and systems.
  2. Conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend actions.
  3. Collaborating with teams to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to best practices.
  4. Defining access privileges, control structures, and resources to safeguard systems.
  5. Implementing and maintaining security controls.
  6. Providing incident response during security breaches.
  7. Monitoring systems and networks for intrusions and unusual activity.
  8. Staying updated on security developments and emerging threats.

Product Development & Support

  1. Designing and developing cybersecurity products, including software and hardware solutions.
  2. Participating in product implementation, installations, and migrations.
  3. Installing, configuring, and upgrading cybersecurity products.
  4. Monitoring compliance with security standards and codes.
  5. Working with vendors and teams to resolve issues and ensure successful deployment.
  6. Maintaining documentation of designs, configurations, and procedures.
  7. Planning and executing security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
  8. Assisting in designing secure application architectures with authentication, access controls, and encryption.

Who we're looking for

You should have experience with incident management tools, APIs for security solutions, and cybersecurity controls such as Anti-malware, EDR/XDR/NDR, SIEM, and SOAR. An understanding of common threats and mitigation techniques is essential, along with a keen interest in staying current with security developments.

Strong IT skills, including knowledge of Windows, cloud platforms (Azure, Office 365, AWS), networking, and firewalls, are also required.
