Oliver James is partnered with a leading, world class Cyber Security practice seeking to recruit Directors with a specialism within UK Financial Services. Candidates across the UK are welcome (clients are mostly London based) and can be offered up to c£170,000 basic (excluding bonuses, benefits & extras) depending on experience.
The client's practice comprises several hundred diverse and talented cyber professionals who advise UK Financial Services customers on the ever evolving cyber agenda. Directors will build and develop a team that finds creative solutions to our clients' cyber issues.
Your roleAs a Director within the UK Financial Services Cyber practice, your responsibilities include:
- Developing the market for Cyber Security services primarily across Financial Services organisations, building effective client relationships and championing the services.
- Leading sales and marketing, defining key functional processes and delivering a portfolio of cyber related engagements.
- Understanding and anticipating client needs based on a deep knowledge of Financial Services specific requirements.
- Managing people on client engagements while collaborating seamlessly with colleagues in other parts of the organisation and across the globe.
- Overseeing diverse teams, addressing challenges and fostering an inclusive culture.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the value of our services and the efficiency of go to market activities.
- Capturing and leveraging intellectual property and industry insight gained from client engagements.
- Developing and implementing new market propositions across financial services in collaboration with colleagues.
- Attracting world class talent and contributing to thought leadership and industry research in cyber security and organisational crisis response.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Extensive Cyber Security experience either within Financial Services or, ideally, within a major consultancy/professional services firm with Financial Services clients.
- A broad range of security experience with a distinct specialism in at least one area (e.g., cyber strategy, security target operating models, transformation programmes, change initiatives, technologies, privacy, etc.).
- Certifications such as CCP, CISSP, CISM, CCNP, CIPP/E preferred.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen, with a strong understanding of cyber risk to both business processes and supporting technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience developing long lasting client relationships, influencing organizational stakeholders and solving complex problems objectively.
- Experience delivering high quality complex projects, including programme, project, financial and people management.
- Ability to analyze complex information and present it concisely and clearly to audiences of varied cultures, technical backgrounds and seniorities.
- Self confidence and enthusiasm for business development activities.
- Existing security clearance or willingness to undergo vetting procedures.
