Cyber Security Architect (NIST, CIS, SANS, Palo Alto Firewalls)

Cyber Security Architect required to support enterprise security architecture across large-scale technology programmes. The role will focus on designing security frameworks, identifying risk, and ensuring secure architecture across infrastructure and applications.

This is a long term freelance contract offering a hybrid model (London/South East) and a competitive market rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise cyber security architecture.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis.
• Identify gaps in current security architecture and recommend improvements.
• Support security solution design for RFPs and transformation programmes.
• Ensure alignment with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and SANS.
• Work with engineering and infrastructure teams to integrate security controls.
• Support incident response planning and security governance activities.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in Cyber Security Architecture within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, SANS).
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience designing layered security across networks, APIs, endpoints, and data platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and architecture documentation skills.
