Cyber Security Architect - Contract Role

Dublin Hybrid Working (3 Days Onsite)

Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to hire an experienced Cyber Security Architect.

This is a critical role within a major Cyber Recovery and Operational Resilience Programme, where you will act as the trusted technical authority responsible for defining, governing, and assuring the target cyber recovery architecture across a complex enterprise environment.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions and shape the future resilience of a large-scale enterprise operating critical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical assurance activities across a Cyber Recovery Programme.
• Define and govern the target Cyber Recovery Architecture.
• Establish architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
• Review and assure technical designs from internal teams and suppliers.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, technical debt, and single points of failure.
• Provide independent technical challenge and assurance throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Support technology evaluations, procurement activities, and supplier selection.
• Participate in Design Authority and architecture governance forums.
• Validate recovery strategies, testing approaches, and recovery readiness plans.
• Support cyber recovery exercises, simulations, and testing activities.
• Produce architecture assurance reports and technical recommendations.
• Ensure solutions meet agreed RTO and RPO requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across recovery infrastructure, backup platforms, cyber recovery vaults, clean rooms, and application recovery initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Enterprise, Solution, Infrastructure, or Cyber Recovery Architecture experience (Essential)
• Cyber Recovery, Disaster Recovery, or Operational Resilience programme delivery (Essential)
• Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments (Highly Desirable)
• Architecture Governance, Design Authority, and Technical Assurance experience (Essential)Multi-supplier technology programme experience (Essential)
• Cyber resilience and recovery architecture expertise (Essential)
• IAM, Active Directory, MFA, and PAM knowledge (Essential)
• VMware, enterprise infrastructure, storage, and virtualisation experience (Essential)
• SQL Server, Oracle RAC, and database recovery experience (Essential)
• Immutable backups, cyber recovery vaults, air-gapped recovery, and clean room environments (Essential)
• OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container recovery experience (Desirable)
• Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid cloud recovery knowledge (Desirable)
• Risk assessment, dependency analysis, and problem-solving skills (Essential)
• Recovery testing, cyber exercises, and readiness assessment experience (Essential)
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills (Essential)
• TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, Azure Architect, VMware, or similar certifications (Desirable)
• ITIL, change management, and governance knowledge (Desirable)
