Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Supply Chain Coordinator to join a busy and collaborative Supply Chain team.

This is a varied role where you'll act as the key link between FMCG customers, Sales, Supply Chain and third-party logistics providers, ensuring orders are managed effectively from initial demand through to delivery. You'll build strong customer relationships while helping to manage forecasts, stock availability, deliveries and service levels.

Location: Somercotes, Derbyshire
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8-4,9-5 or 8-6
Working Pattern: Hybrid working, 2 days WFH

The Role

  • Managing customer orders and ensuring service level targets are achieved.
  • Monitoring orders against customer forecasts and seasonal demand.
  • Working closely with third-party logistics providers to ensure orders are fulfilled successfully.
  • Tracking deliveries and resolving order, return and supply issues.
  • Building strong relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Working with commercial teams to monitor forecasts, product intake and changes in demand.
  • Identifying discrepancies and helping balance customer demand against stock availability.
  • Collaborating with Demand, Distribution and Supply Planning teams.
  • Monitoring performance including order fill rates and product availability.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve customer service, processes and costs.

About You

  • IT savvy - especially Excel inc. Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS
  • Previous experience within customer supply chain operations, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or distribution.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing customer orders and resolving problems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities.
