Are you an experienced Customer Service professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery? Reed is delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the logistics and intermodal transport sector in their search for a committed Customer Services Advisor to join their growing Commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied customer portfolio, manage day-to-day service requirements, and play a key role in maximising business performance across multiple operational platforms.

The Role

As a Customer Services Advisor, you will act as the main point of contact for non-contract customers, ensuring a seamless interface between the business, internal departments, and external clients. Your role will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and processing all customer bookings within agreed standards and timescales
  • Building strong working relationships across internal teams and with customers
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to maximise revenue, utilisation, and business growth
  • Coordinating daily service requirements and advising customers on available options
  • Liaising with commercial and operational teams to meet customer expectations
  • Producing daily/weekly performance reports
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and supporting the reduction of admin from booking to billing
  • Maintaining data integrity across internal and customer systems
  • Supporting KPI performance across rail, road, and terminal operations
  • Upholding professional communication and high levels of customer care at all times

About You

The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within logistics, transport or intermodal operations (advantageous)
  • Understanding of train planning, wagon/loco availability, and movement restrictions (desirable)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities and support business growth
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across departments
