Job Description

Start Date: July

Location: Little Island, Cork

Training: 6-8 weeks hybrid training on joining

(please note: annual leave cannot be accommodated during this initial training period)

Schedule: Full-time, rotational shifts Mon - Fri & one Saturday shift every 5 weeks

Salary: €30,850 with 10% PRP Bonus

We're looking for friendly, caring and pragmatic people to join our Customer Service team at laya healthcare. If you love helping others and want a role where no two calls are the same, this could be a great fit for you.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our members, supporting them with empathy, clarity and professionalism during inbound calls. You'll play a key part in making sure every member feels heard, reassured and valued.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Take inbound calls from members
  • Help with questions about policies, claims, cover, renewals and payments
  • Break down complex information in a clear, reassuring way
  • Handle complaints with patience, understanding and good judgement
  • Log information accurately and follow processes to keep everything running smoothly
  • Work closely with your team to meet call targets while delivering excellent service
What We're Looking For
  • Previous customer service or call centre experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Warm, confident communication skills - especially over the phone
  • A genuine desire to help people and make their day a little easier
  • Ability to stay positive and composed during busy or challenging calls
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem solving ability
  • Adaptability and resilience - every call is different
