Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)
Salary: €36,000 - €40,000 (DOE)
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Junior Shipping Clerk to join a leading global organisation within the shipping and logistics industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer focused individual to gain valuable experience within a well established international company. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and interested in building a long term career in shipping and logistics. You will play a key role in supporting customer service operations while gaining exposure to import/export documentation and shipping coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries
- Coordinate import and export documentation
- Support vessel loading and discharge processes
- Assist with customs clearance and inland transport arrangements
- Process invoices and payments
- Support sales coordination and key account activities
- Manage customer bookings
- Prepare and handle shipping documentation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable handling calls and dealing with clients
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Reliable with excellent time management
- Positive, proactive and self motivated attitude
- Interest in the shipping and logistics industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Minimum 1 year's experience in sales or sales administration
- At least 2 years' administration experience
- Full right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
- Full clean driver's licence (desirable)
