Salary: £31,700. Location: Westhoughton Store, Bolton, BL5 3RD. Contract type: Permanent. Business area: Retail.
Shift HoursNight Shift (22:00-09:00)
Schedule: start between 22:00/23:00, finish at 08:00/09:00. Nights per week: mostly 4 nights. Over 5 days covering evening shift may require 18:00-02:00. Late shift: 13:00-22:00.
- Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store, prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse, and replenishing shelves.
- Running a full store operation on your own overnight, responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store.
- Ensuring standards are brilliant by morning so we're ready to serve customers.
- Managing people: performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling, and pay accuracy.
Nightshift managers work full-time hours over 4 nights and receive a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary.
What makes a great nightshift manager:- Comfortable with nightshift working and adaptable to the physical and mental impact of shift patterns.
- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast paced, operational environment.
- Resilience to mental and physical demands of nights.
- Provides brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
- Experience delivering and monitoring KPIs or other performance indicators.
- Can manage disciplinaries, performance issues, or similar employee relations issues.
- Leads operations alone in absence of senior management.
- Puts inclusivity at the heart of everything.
- Track record of delivering customer service and coaching colleagues.
- Experience leading a team in a fast paced, customer facing environment.
- Operational leadership skills taking responsibility for store operations in absence of senior managers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs - sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
- Managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
- Desirable: Has worked night shifts in a high volume, operational environment, adapted to physical and mental demands, and created a safe, supportive atmosphere for the team during out of hours trading.
Salary depends on experience, store size, complexity, and location.
