JTSEC, part of Applus+ is a cybersecurity laboratory based in Granada, seeking a Cryptography Security Evaluator to join our team of experienced IT security professionals.
Our team has over 30 years of experience in the field, and our international clientele includes Amazon, Google, Checkpoint, Winbond, McAfee, Sophos, Stormshield, and more.
We also collaborate with esteemed organizations such as ENISA, CCN, EuroSmart, ISO, and ECSO.In this position you will be responsible for:
- Performing cryptographic evaluations of technological products with a strong presence of cryptography for its correct operativity. In order to do so, you will meet with our clients to gather knowledge about their implementation in order to know which cryptographic algorithms need to be tested and verified.
- Providing insights to clients. In order to do so, you will first meet with our clients to uncover their business needs and challenges. Then, you will use your strong analytical skills to perform quantitative and observational data analyses. From these analyses, you will form and present your recommendations to our clients.
- Analyse and verify the correct cryptographic operativity of technological products according to the Spanish Cryptographic Mechanisms Evaluation Methodology and FIPS 140-3.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and verify the correct cryptographic operativity of technological products according to the Spanish Cryptographic Mechanisms Evaluation Methodology.
- Study and recommend secure configuration and parametrization of communication protocols and cryptographic algorithms.
- Prepare and execute client workshops
- Interact with clients to discover their business challenges
- Perform quantitative and observational data analyses
- Create and present client recommendations
Qualifications
- Engineer in Mathematics, Physics, Telecommunications.
- Interest and basic/medium knowledge of cryptography
- Strong analytical, communication, and quantitative skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Interest and basic/medium knowledge of cybersecurity
Valued Qualifications
- Knowledgle or experience with FIPS 140-3
- Certifications CISSP, Cryptocert are considered a plus
- Familiarity with C programming is highly appreciated
