addmustard is an award-winning brand, marketing, and technology agency for entrepreneurs.
We add the strategic and creative firepower of an advertising agency, to the precision and incision of a digital marketing agency, to the flexibility of an in-house team.
A team of 35 brilliant marketing, data, brand, and tech experts - a core team based in Brighton and Soho, supported by a wider network of specialists from around the world.
And we are world-class at creating value in our clients' businesses and brands.
And who exactly are we looking for? This role exists solely to generate sustainable, meaningful improvements that build value in our clients' brands - for entrepreneurial businesses that expect tangible results, not just reports. You'll be someone who understands the science of user psychology and the art of digital experience - and you're not afraid to challenge assumptions along the way. Bold enough to test the unexpected, precise enough to spot the smallest friction points, and experienced enough to know what really drives meaningful change.
Our brand and culture is bold, precise, energetic and irreverent. You will need to be all four, too. And because our clients are entrepreneurial, you'll need to be eager to develop an understanding of the unique challenges of entrepreneurs and their businesses.
What will you be responsible for? You'll be responsible for delivering top quartile conversion rates for all of our clients, ensuring the optimum ROI from their brand, marketing and technology investments. You will relentlessly and forensically analyse conversion rate factors, benchmark these against competitors and comparator brands, and design practical, effective solutions in collaboration with our Performance, Creative, Brand, and Technology teams. This will help our clients grow and create real value in their brand, marketing, and technology.
Blending both qualitative and quantitative data, you'll ensure our clients deliver a unique, high-performance brand and user experience, using the most sophisticated data analysis and modelling tools.
What might that look like day-to-day?- Lead the research, design, and execution of CRO roadmaps across a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses.
- Build and implement test hypotheses using tools like VWO, A/B Tasty, or Mida.
- Analyse user behaviour via GA4, Hotjar, Clarity, SessionCam, or equivalent, and translate insights into prioritised test plans.
- Identify UX barriers and improvement opportunities across key customer journeys, suggesting actionable development changes where needed.
- Plan and lead quantitative and qualitative research, including user journey audits, customer surveys, and user testing.
- Translate research into wireframes, storyboards, user flows, or annotated mock-ups using tools like Figma, InVision, and Adobe XD.
- Work collaboratively with performance and creative teams to ensure optimisation insights feed into broader campaign strategy.
- Lead client workshops and present CRO insight and strategy clearly to C-suite stakeholders.
- Maintain and iterate reporting dashboards, clearly communicating performance uplift, confidence intervals, and business impact.
- Stay informed about UX best practices, psychological principles of persuasion, and the latest CRO testing tools and techniques.
- Use development skills (HTML/CSS/JS) to implement changes to web pages, testing, and tracking systems as part of the CRO process.
- Hands-on experience designing and running A/B and multivariate tests with major testing platforms.
- Deep understanding of user-centred design principles, conversion theory, and behavioural analytics.
- Strong grasp of tools like GA4, VWO, Looker Studio, Hotjar, Clarity, and Tag Manager.
- Ability to build test ideas from research, prioritise them using frameworks like ICE, PXL, and present a clear rationale for each decision.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills - both written and verbal - to present technical insights in an accessible and actionable way.
- Experience using visualisation tools to present insight in an accessible, strategic format.
- A highly collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and champion evidence.
- Experience using version control tools like Git to manage and track your development efforts.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies or sprint-based delivery processes.
- Knowledge of customer journey mapping and service design principles.
- Experience supporting new business efforts, bringing your expertise in conversion and technical optimisation to new pitches or proposals.
- Familiarity with advanced web frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular to optimise front-end performance and interactivity.
- Technical SEO experience, including page speed optimisation, lazy loading, and image compression to improve load times and website performance.
We pride ourselves in being bold, energetic, precise and irreverent. Equally, we are open, honest, innovative and hard working in everything we do for our entrepreneurial clients, our team and our network.
You'll be surrounded and supported by a team who will embolden and challenge you to approach each and every day with those values in mind. We've built (and are very proud of) our completely flat and integrated organisational structure - we don't care where the good ideas come from, as long as they can be turned into something astonishing and that delivers tangible, measurable value.
And when those ideas get made, deliver real value for our clients and win awards, we love nothing more than to celebrate them.
What's in it for you?In return for your commitment, creativity and incredible mind, you can expect:
- To work across a diverse range of fascinating audiences, markets, sectors and projects, each with unique problems that we can solve.
- To work alongside and be trained by industry experts at the forefront of brand, marketing and technology.
- Our senior management is accessible, open, honest and transparent. This means we all care about you and your development, progression, success and happiness. And we regularly share financial, team, and client performance with the whole agency.
- Flexible hours and a hybrid working structure-split between home, our eclectic Soho office, and Brighton's vibrant Lanes.
- Be part of an amazing, sociable and supportive team.
- An (over)active social life: regular lunches, dinners, ad-hoc team events and now and then, holidays.
- Inclusion in our 10% annual bonus scheme (after your first year).
- £1,000 personal training budget per year.
