Job SummaryWe are currently recruiting for a Criminal Solicitor (Dangerous Dog Offences) to join our PI and Inquests team in our busy Leeds City Centre office.
The ideal candidate will handle a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, with a focus on:
- Dangerous Dogs Act cases, including prohibited breeds and dogs dangerously out-of-control dogs.
- Representation at police stations, Magistrates' Court, and Crown Court.
- Proficient IT skills
- Literate and numerate
- Excellent advocacy and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work accurately in accordance with the requirements of the team
- Ability to deal with enquiries in a customer-friendly and effective manner
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2+ years PQE in criminal law (negotiable depending on experience)
- Experience or strong interest in learning/developing Dangerous Dog work (desirable)
