We're hiring a Credit Strategy Manager to lead one of our credit strategy and analytics teams. You will manage a high-performing team engaged in improving our lending strategies by using sophisticated analytical and testing infrastructure to recommend changes based on analytical models and judgment.

As a Credit Strategy Manager, you will develop and optimize credit strategies across the customer lifecycle, including building valuation models, setting pricing, and underwriting strategies. You'll oversee products like Unsecured Personal Loans, Car Finance, Credit Cards, and Point of Sale Finance. This is a great time to join Zopa, with access to rich datasets and a growth trajectory.

Collaboration is key at Zopa. You will work closely with data science, product, and engineering teams to develop growth strategies, influence decisions, and identify new opportunities through advanced analytical techniques.

A day in the life
  • Optimising underwriting and pricing strategies for new or existing customers.
  • Managing pricing and commercial aspects, making strategic recommendations to product leads.
  • Developing and refining NPV models and assumptions.
  • Supporting the development of scorecards for decision-making and analyzing risks and benefits.
  • Grounding P&L risk and revenue assumptions to inform lending and marketing strategies.
  • Building data infrastructure and monitoring frameworks to identify trends, sharing insights with senior management, and taking necessary actions.
  • Leading and developing your team through guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
About you
  • Strong experience in Commercial and Credit Risk analytics or modeling in consumer lending.
  • Good technical skills, including SQL and Python.
  • Inquisitive, curious, and passionate about deriving insights from data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, gaining buy-in from senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, capable of working under pressure, with good time management.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into simple hypotheses, focusing on core levers.
  • Leadership skills and enjoyment in developing talented analysts.

We're on the move! Zopa will relocate to 20 Water Street, Canary Wharf, by the end of 2025, fostering collaboration and creativity for 900 employees. We value flexible working: this hybrid role requires 2-3 days in our London office, with the option to work abroad up to 120 days a year, subject to right to work.
