Credit Controller Advisor
£24,600 to £25,500 plus great benefits (Work Level 6C)
Manchester city centre (Hybrid - with at least 2 days a week in the office)
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week
We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for our member owners every day'.
Why this role matters
Our Credit Control team is a huge part of what keeps our business running smoothly. In this role, you'll be looking after our food retail sales ledger, helping us to stay on top of payments and making sure we hit our cash collection targets. You'll collaborate closely with both internal and external partners, handling inbound and outbound calls, and resolving any payment disputes.
What you'll do
- Provide a customer and credit control service to make sure that sales ledger accounts are collected promptly
- Handle both inbound and outbound calls to internal and external clients
- Collect payments with discretion and accuracy
- Maintain an accurate record of collection actions, making sure all payment promises and notes are documented
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve disputes which delay payments
- Reduce unallocated cash and aged debt
- Assist with reporting and ledger downloads
What you'll bring

- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
