Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting on behalf of our client based in St Albans for a CPC Holder - Van Driver to join the team. Our client is extremely busy with a contract supplying flooring to stores in and around London.

Job Title: CPC Holder Van Driver with Tacho Card, Driver, Warehouse, and Machine Operator

Location: St Albans, United Kingdom

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (traffic-dependent)

Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in St Albans. The primary responsibilities include operating a 7.5-tonne vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring timely transportation of goods, and assisting in the workshop with machine operating and warehouse tasks when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Goods Transportation: Load, transport, and unload goods to and from designated locations.
• Route Planning: Plan and optimize delivery routes for timely deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and report issues; keep the vehicle clean and maintained.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of deliveries and related paperwork.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with clients.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including cargo securing.
• Time Management: Manage work efficiently to meet schedules.
• Workshop Assistance: Help in the workshop with machine operation and warehouse work as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driving license with Category C1 (7.5 Tonne).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of Enfield and surrounding areas.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical fitness for loading/unloading.
• Availability for regular hours (Monday to Friday, 6/7:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
