Looking for a new role working with young people this September? We're working with secondary schools across Dewsbury looking for confident Cover Supervisors to join their teams.
If you're organised, approachable and comfortable taking charge of a classroom, this could be a great opportunity to gain valuable school experience and make a real difference to pupils' learning.
You don't need to be the person who knows every answer in the textbook. You do need to be someone who can keep a class focused, follow the lesson plan and create a calm environment where pupils can get on with their work.
Your role could include:- Supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering pre-set work and supporting pupils with their learning
- Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment
- Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Working alongside teachers and the wider school team
- Helping ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent
- Has experience working with young people or in an education setting, where possible
- Is confident managing a classroom or group
- Has a calm and consistent approach
- Can communicate clearly with pupils and staff
- Is reliable, adaptable and organised
- Is keen to support young people and contribute to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
