The Education Specialists is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Stokport, rated Good by Ofsted.

This is a full-time, long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, providing classroom cover across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a Cover Supervisor looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting.

Role requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people (school-based desirable)
  • Confident managing a classroom independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the updated service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists
The successful Cover Supervisor will:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Support a positive and structured learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
