Cover Supervisor - Secondary School, St Helens

The Education Specialist is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a well established secondary school in St Helens, rated "Good" by Ofsted. This is a full time, long term position for the remainder of the academic year, providing classroom cover across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The school has a strong behaviour policy and a supportive senior leadership team, offering an excellent environment for a Cover Supervisor looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young people (school based desirable)
• Confident managing a classroom independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
• Support a positive and structured learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
