Cover Supervisor - Secondary School

Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Birmingham Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

The Role

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
• Support the smooth running of the school day by maintaining a positive learning environment
• Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff members as required

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have experience working with young people in an educational setting (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
• Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be organised, reliable, and adaptable
• Be able to follow instructions and work independently
• Have a calm and professional approach to behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
