Logistics Operator / Counterbalance Forklift Driver (3 Month Contract)

The Counterbalance FLT Driver and Storesperson/Warehouse role in Washington involves supporting logistics and warehouse operations for a 3 month contract. Paying £13.45 per hour, this full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The successful applicant will safely operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks, receive and unload deliveries, manage stock accurately to meet internal customer needs. A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence and warehouse experience are essential. Duties also include maintaining inventory records and ensuring efficient workflow within the stores.

Key Duties

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
• Receive, unload, check and store supplier deliveries
• Accurately record stock movements using the Inventory Management System
• Issue stock items to internal customers and resolve any stock queries
• Complete cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
• Generate replenishment orders between sites
• Load and unload materials for site transfers
• Provide cover for satellite stores when required
• Participate in the standby rota where necessary

Essential Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck qualification
• Previous experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
• Experience using Inventory Management Systems
• Full valid driving licence
