Costs Negotiator

A Legal 500 firm in Liverpool are seeking an experienced Costs Negotiator to join their well-established team. This permanent, hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £55,000 and the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload spanning RTA, EL/PL, Legacy, Abuse, Marine, Clinical Negligence, and Professional Negligence matters. As a Costs Negotiator, you'll have the autonomy to run your own files end-to-end, setting the costs strategy early and negotiating settlements proactively.- Interesting, varied costs work- Supportive senior team with strong technical focus- Clear objectives, realistic KPIs, and client-facing responsibility.Preferred Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in costs negotiation, with a strong understanding of the costs landscape
• Ability to work independently, managing your own caseload and setting the costs strategy
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to advocate at detailed assessment hearings and mediations
• Collaborative mindset, with the desire to support the development of a Paralegal
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Relevant legal qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven track record in costs negotiation, ideally within the legal sector
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
