Job Description
Role Description

This is a full-time permanent hybrid role, based in office with the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days per week. The successful candidate will handle a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Drafting Bills of Costs
  • Drafting Points of Dispute
  • Drafting Points of Reply
  • Drafting Part 8 Proceedings / Interim Applications
  • Assessing and negotiating cost claims
  • Preparing Precedent H Budgets
  • Attending CCMCs
  • Advising clients

The role involves working collaboratively with clients and team members to ensure accurate cost recovery and reporting.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer
  • Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and costs case law
  • Experience in dealing with costs relating to personal injury, clinical negligence, industrial disease, housing disrepair and commercial litigation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
