Corporate Partner / Of Counsel

About the Role

A boutique law firm working at the intersection of law and finance is seeking a senior corporate attorney to help lead and grow its corporate practice. You will advise entrepreneurial clients and investors while helping shape the practice's direction, with a 1,400-hour annual billable target.

What You'll Do

• Lead venture capital, private equity, and M&A transactions from inception through closing.
• Serve as a primary advisor to entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutional investors.
• Help develop the corporate practice's structure, services, and long-term growth strategy.
• Collaborate with colleagues across funds and debt practices on bespoke matters.
• Support and mentor junior attorneys.

What We're Looking For

• 10 to 20 years of corporate transactional experience at mid sized to large law firms, including an early or mid career period at a large firm.
• Substantial depth in venture capital, private equity, or M&A, with experience independently leading and closing bespoke transactions.
• A J.D. and admission to a U.S. state bar; New York admission is preferred.
• Strong client service, mentoring, and practice building skills; portable client relationships are a plus.
• Limited prior in house experience, generally no more than about one year.
• Consistent career history and experience advising founders, family offices, or emerging investment managers are valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $250,000 to $400,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid, with two days per week in the London, England office.
