Mitie has a great opportunity for security officers to join the Total Security Management Team. The security officers will be working at New York Street Manchester.
Pay Rate: £13.34 per hour.
Contract Type: permanent contract 42 hours per week.
Shifts: 5 on 2 off : Wednesday Thursady and Friday 6 hours per night from 1800 until midnight, Saturday and Sunday Night 12 hours per night from 1900 until 07:00.
Main Duties- The security officer will be based at reception conducting the internal patrols and monitoring the CCTV.
- To be aware of using the mobile app and be able to understand the requirements of the duties.
- Any issues must be recorded on the online portal, written and must be reported to the client and Account Manager.
- Time keeping is important and attending the site on time for handover.
- Must be able to use online portals to record the daily activities.
- The security officer must be vigilant and report and record all suspicious or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
- The security officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
- As the first point of contact for all customers and clients, the Security officer must have geographical awareness of their local surroundings.
- Report to the Security Manager - they must record, report and elevate all Incidents.
- SIA License essential.
- 5 years of work history Vetting is essential before starting the position.
- As a job requirement officer must be available to work nights and weekends.

- The security officer should be able to work on his own initiative.

- Ability to operate an online portal and use basic IT equipment.

- Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
- It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.
- Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
