Corporate Lead ACP

Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a passion for strategic development of advanced practice? Join our dynamic CeNREE team at the University Hospitals of North Midlands, a leading acute hospital, as our Corporate Lead ACP.

In this role you will facilitate standardisation of Advanced Practice roles across UHNM, play a lead role in the strategic development and evaluation of advanced practice, establish credible working relationships at all levels of the organisation and work alongside the trust senior leadership team to guide and support care group leadership teams in the transformation of the workforce, developing an ACP workforce to meet the trust vision and objectives.

The post holder will practice as a senior clinical expert. They will work within their sphere of clinical expertise practising independently and autonomously. The post holder may maintain a clinical component under a separate role, but this 0.8WTE role focuses on management, leadership and strategic delivery.

Main duties of the job

  • Support standardisation of the ACP role and implementation of the Trust strategy related to advanced practice
  • Overall lead responsibility in providing effective professional leadership and governance to ACPs across the Trust
  • Responsible for providing professional expertise relating to ACPs
  • Define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted
  • Develop professional relationships both regionally and nationally to share best practice
  • Develop and lead the UHNM trainee and qualified ACP forums
  • Responsible for developing policy and procedure relating to ACPs
  • Coordinate audit, research and development initiatives relating to ACPs aligned with the CeNREE team
  • A alongside care group senior teams support submissions of future ACP business plans
  • Budgetary responsibilities
  • Lead and promote compliance with best practice across the trust, with a particular focus on developing mechanisms for sharing best practice and enabling the development of clinical networking
Qualifications
  • Masters degree or equivalent
  • Teaching qualification
Experience
  • Significant experience of working as an ACP
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience in non clinical pillars of practice (education, leadership, research)
  • Experience of delivering training programmes
  • Experience of working across professions
  • Experience of working regionally and nationally
  • Experience of facilitating group meetings / workshops / forums

Pay

£66,582 to £77,368 a year per annum, pro rata
