About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join and to make a big contribution to a highly collegiate and focused team that operates at the top of the market in terms of private company M&A and corporate finance. The Dublin corporate team is supported by a long-established full service Irish practice in Dublin. While its practice is broad, it is best known for (i) advising the brightest Irish established innovation driven enterprises as they scale, raise capital and ultimately acquired; (ii) advising Irish and international private equity, venture and growth capital and other institutional investors on Irish investments; and (iii) supporting international acquirors in an Irish M&A context. The group pre-dominantly acts in a lead counsel role. The team is small but operates at the top of the market resulting in unparalleled platform for associates to gain early profile and visibility in the market through real involvement in notable deals. With attractive demographics there are real opportunities for progression.

This role will allow the successful candidate every opportunity to make a name in the local market as a commercially minded corporate lawyer while developing their technical and client management skills in a mature, sophisticated and globally recognised firm.

EXPERIENCE What You Bring

Applicants should have highly relevant experience in M&A and corporate finance and be looking for a long-term career with the Maples Group. Candidates will have up to 2 years' relevant post qualification experience and have completed a minimum of a 2-year training contract. Both experience and training should have been completed with a leading law firm in Dublin or a major onshore jurisdiction. Outstanding academics are a must but so too is a real understanding of the business of law and an interest in business development.

Candidates will require experience in the following key areas; M&A, venture capital and /or private equity .

This post requires significant attention to detail, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and excellent organisational , prioritisation and communications skills.
