Job descriptionWe are looking for a Corporate Health and Safety Administrator to assist the team. The Corporate Health and Safety Team provides competent advice to all Services which includes Waste and Transport, Housing Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Street Scene and many others.
Working within the team, you will provide efficient and effective administration and health and safety support to all internal Council services. This includes maintaining Corporate Health and Safety inboxes, taking minutes, recording action for all Corporate Health and Safety Panels and working groups, general administration support to the Corporate Health and Safety Team and maintaining and updating Corporate Health and Safety sites, systems and databases.
About youWe are looking for a self motivated team player who can adapt quickly and work closely with a range of services. You should demonstrate exceptional administrative skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, coordinate workloads, and meet tight deadlines during busy periods.
You must be an effective communicator, liaising with employees, managers and contractors. Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps are required. You should be able to learn new systems and update and maintain Council databases.
- Experience in a similar role
- A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
- Experience with a range of H&S administrative activities
- Current UK driving licence and access to your own transport at all times
- Salary £26,635 - £27,380 per annum (up to £30,372 career grade) (pay award pending)
