Corporate Grader OCT, Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) - Location: Middlewich/Remote. Join our national Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) team and help improve early diagnosis and patient outcomes across the UK. InHealth supports more than 5 million patients every year, delivering high-quality screening and data solutions in partnership with NHS organisations.
Role SummaryAs a Corporate Retinal Grader you will be part of the central grading team, delivering accurate, high-quality diabetic retinal grading across all programmes. Your work will support clinical decision making and ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. This is a full time permanent position. In addition to the advertised salary, the role includes a £3,000 bolt on annual payment for OCT grading.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first, second, arbitration, ROG and OCT grading following NDESP guidance.
- Complete relevant units of the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners and participate in monthly EQA tests.
- Become an expert user of Spectra.
- Maintain excellent data security and follow all grading protocols.
- Participate in competency assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and contribute to MDT meetings.
- Completed Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Diploma or Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners.
- Full sign off to grade at all levels, including OCT.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods.
- A professional, calm and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills and understanding of data protection.
You will be part of a supportive, dedicated team making a real difference to patients with long term conditions. The position is full time, permanent, and offers a competitive salary plus a £3,000 annual bonus for OCT grading. The role is based in Middlewich with remote options.
