What you'll do

In this position you will be responsible for managing the relationships of global (Re)insurance, Surety and Broker clients from a Segment perspective and developing and leading the strategic roadmap for High Value Corporate Client engagement across the Core Trade Products in the UK. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenues in the franchise, ensuring our solutions meet the needs of our clients while driving innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker, technical expertise, strong leadership skills, proven client management experience and a passion for transforming the trade ecosystem through technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Insurance Segment: Grow and manage the Core Trade Insurance portfolio across (Re)insurance, Lloyd's of London, Surety and Broker markets.
  • Insurance Segment: Manage day to day C-Suite client engagement with clients within our Insurance Segment.
  • Insurance Segment: Subject matter expert for Insurance Core Trade Products and develop an associated strategy for growth.
  • Insurance Segment: Act as deal primary on client facilities and new client opportunities.
  • UK Segment: Develop a strategic roadmap for High Value Corporate client engagement across UK clients and UK flows as well as capability deployment ensuring that the maximum benefit can be taken from all client opportunities.
  • UK Segment: Identify key trade flows for our UK client segment and develop a regional strategy to grow the Core Trade business in line with our global team strategy.
  • UK Segment: Strong partnership with Trade Sales and Client coverage teams to drive the execution of the client level strategy.
  • UK Segment: Work closely with Trade Sales and Client Coverage teams to market our Core Trade product capabilities both internally and externally.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Ensure accountability of internal partners to pitch Core Trade products with their clients and achieve relevant targets.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred bank status with clients.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, identify product/capability gaps with Citi's product offering through feedback from Trade Sales, Client coverage and direct from clients.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Work directly with Core Trade Product groups to identify the gaps and subsequent solutions and prioritise as needed.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Drive segment financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well any other identified KPI.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Insurance & UK Segments: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, adhering to policy, applying ethical judgment and ensuring accountability.
What we'll need from you
  • Significant experience in client facing leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of the Insurance market is highly desirable and a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of client delivery driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance, supply chain, or logistics domains is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments and drive results.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
