We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Cook-in-Charge to lead the catering service at Ysgol Llandrillo yn Rhos Infants, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that support the wellbeing of pupils, staff, and visitors.
This is more than just a cooking role, it's an opportunity to take ownership of a vital service, lead a small team, and help shape a positive mealtime experience in a busy school environment.
You'll be at the heart of the school day, creating meals that fuel learning and bring comfort and joy to the school community.
- Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Llandrillo yn Rhos Infants.
- Provide on the job training for new cooks and colleagues.
- Cooking the meals required, portion control, food service, ordering, washing up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room.
- Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal working days/hours by prior arrangement) i.e. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
- Associated clerical duties.
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau). If you're organised, motivated, and ready to take the lead in a friendly kitchen setting, we'd love to hear from you.
