Job Description
The Firm A well-established law firm is seeking a Legal Support Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing department. The successful candidate will become part of an experienced and supportive team based at the firm's head office in Walsall. The Role The firm is looking for an experienced Legal Support Assistant with at least 1-2 years' previous experience within a Residential Conveyancing team. The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage a varied workload, and the confidence to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.Responsibilities
  • Opening and maintaining digital client files.
  • Handling telephone enquiries from clients and third parties.
  • Meeting and assisting clients in person.
  • Scanning incoming post and uploading documents to the relevant files.
  • Ensuring all required client documentation is received at the appropriate stages of the transaction.
  • Assisting with pre-completion and post-completion matters.
  • Preparing contract packs.
  • Ordering property searches.
  • Managing Land Registry registrations and SDLT formalities.
  • Liaising with mortgage lenders.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to conveyancing fee earners.
