Role OverviewWe are seeking a Controls System Development Engineer responsible for PLC programming, electrical schematic interpretation, system development, OT networking, OS configuration, and root cause analysis of electrical automation systems. The role involves designing automation sequences, managing vendor relations, and collaborating across teams globally.
Key Responsibilities- Subject matter expert in low voltage switchgear control and generator automation.
- Develop and iterate automation sequences and HMI graphics using PLC/PAC/IPC platforms.
- Maintain automation logic libraries and adhere to IEC61131-3 standards.
- Understand electrical schematics, BMS, and Power Monitoring concepts.
- Develop strategies for redundancy, failure handling, and energy conservation.
- Collaborate with construction, commissioning, and engineering teams to meet project goals.
- Create and manage specification documents for automation systems.
- Coordinate vendor selection and bid processes.
- Engage with AWS cloud services for data management and analysis.
- Travel globally as needed for project support.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- 1+ years designing or architecting systems.
- 3+ years in systems engineering, networking, storage, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
