The Role

Deliveroo is committed to driving ambitious growth while ensuring it is supported by robust processes, a strong control environment, and efficient, reliable financial reporting. We are seeking an experienced Controls Projects Senior Finance Manager to help deliver key elements of our financial controls transformation programme.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract, aimed at supporting the transition from an informal control environment to a standardized, embedded framework. The role focuses on executing control initiatives, supporting stakeholders in Finance and Risk, and meeting key delivery milestones over the next two quarters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Framework Development and Adoption: Identify and assess financial reporting risks; design and implement a robust controls framework.
  • Internal Controls Methodology: Lead scoping of Financial Statement Line Items (FSLIs), conduct walkthroughs, document processes, and perform design and effectiveness testing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Remediation: Build relationships, communicate deficiencies, and support remediation efforts.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enhance controls documentation, promote best practices, and drive automation and system improvements.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training to raise controls awareness.
  • Governance and Reporting: Prepare updates and reports for senior leadership, including the Audit Committee and Board.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in financial controls or internal audit, preferably in a fast-paced or growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting risks and controls across business cycles.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives like SOX or UK Corporate Governance Reform.
