As a Controls Engineer, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the future of mobility. Your expertise will drive the development and optimisation of control systems for industry-leading products.
Your responsibilities as a Controls Engineer:
- Contribute to the development process for powertrain control requirements.
- Design, simulate, and implement control and estimation algorithms for diverse powertrain systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
- Cooperate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the hardware and software meet project standards.
- Lead the creation and development of Software and Controls for electrified powertrain systems.
Your current experience which will help you as a Controls Engineer:
- Possess an Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have a background in automotive engineering, with a focus on design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.
- Proven experience in automotive control systems software development, including familiarity with data logging and calibration tools.
- Proficient in utilising MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for technical documentation and presentations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Skills that will set you apart as a Controls Engineer:
- Specialised experience in the electrified powertrain sector.
- Familiarity with machine learning, AI algorithms, and predictive control systems.
- Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols such as CANFD, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Knowledge of industry standards ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Competency with Vector and Mathworks tools or their equivalents.
- Agile and adaptable to a fast-paced project management environment.
