My client, a specialist Environmental Consultancy focusing on De-watering projects, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team based in Derby.
Applicants must have an academic background in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK-based Engineering Consultancy as a Contracts Manager, managing civil engineering contracts with proficiency in NEC 3 & 4. Experience in managing diverse projects, ensuring budgets and timelines are effectively controlled, is essential.
Residency in the local area is preferred, as the role requires presence in the office/on-site four days a week.
The role primarily involves Geothermal and De-watering Projects, with responsibilities including:
- Ensuring the company's contractual interests are managed efficiently and in line with company processes.
- Maintaining communication between suppliers, clients, and the company.
- Overseeing contracts and providing professional advice as needed.
- Assisting with contract administration.
- Developing relationships and generating new business with existing and potential clients.
- Handling tenders and bids.
- Managing budget planning.
- Adhering to ISO standards, Health & Safety initiatives, and best practices.
