About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Contracts Team based in the West of Ireland. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and successful completion of projects with defined timelines. Working closely with the Project Management Team, you will coordinate site operations to ensure key milestones are met. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of MEICA contracts in the West of Ireland
  • Manage all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations, focusing on Mechanical, Electrical and ICA
  • Review tender submissions and develop comprehensive delivery plans upon contract award
  • Assign tenders won to appropriate PM for delivery
  • Assist with smooth transition from Tendering to Contract Delivery Team
  • Take the lead on contract design, considering innovative solutions and opportunities for off site manufacture
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers in the delivery of new and existing contracts
  • Oversee commercial matters during contract delivery - from supporting project engineers with procurement from supply chain, negotiating subcontracts to managing commercial matters with clients
  • Monitor project programmes for multiple contracts
  • Co ordinate regular contract review meetings with the contracts team
  • Ensure monthly invoicing targets are being achieved
  • Create project programme and ensure that all required project interfaces are allowed for from design to final site commissioning & handover
  • Liaise and co coordinate all works with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Manage all site labour including subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget
  • Write engineering reports, review method statements and commissioning schedules
  • Ensure procedures are in place which facilitate the safe delivery of contracts
  • Manage and update monthly project tracker
  • Attend and input into overall EPS Contracts growth and business development strategy
  • Attend regular meetings with full EPS MEICA Contracts Leadership Team
Key Competencies and Skills
  • Proven experience & ability to manage, mentor and improve team members
  • Proficiency in PC skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in mechanical & electrical design and ability to review and interpret specifications
  • Experience and knowledge of various process designs in the water & wastewater treatment sector is an advantage
  • Proven track record in delivery of projects with a mechanical & electrical focus
  • Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry
  • Proven experience in delivery of projects with strong emphasis on H&S
Qualifications
  • Third level Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering degree/Diploma
  • Similar relevant degree or Mechanical or Electrical craft background
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Experience in a similar role
