The Contracts Manager role involves:

1. Leading the operational delivery of Response Maintenance workstreams and contracts within West Yorkshire.
2. Instilling ownership and responsibility in your teams, leading and supporting successful, on-time, and within-budget delivery.
3. Leading by example with a direct labour team, motivating, incentivising, and developing individuals, including Apprentices, with a focus on internal development.
4. Managing recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members.
5. Ensuring health and safety measures are in place and monitored.
6. Ensuring resource availability, including subcontractors, plant, and materials.
7. Building internal and external relationships to ensure successful contract delivery.
8. Producing accurate site reports and implementing corrective actions.
9. Managing your own time effectively to maintain productivity and keep procedures and reports up to date.

Ideal candidates will bring:

1. Experience in producing high standards of Health and Safety management through strong system controls and leadership by example.
2. Strong planning and organisation skills to ensure successful delivery of workstreams, managing resources, quality, cost, and risk.
3. Experience managing direct labour, investing in team development, and maximizing potential.
4. A customer-centric approach, understanding and delivering to customer needs.
5. An SMSTS qualification and a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
6. A trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
