About the roleAs a Senior Software Engineer at YLD, you'll be part of a client team building innovative products. We're looking for someone curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic. You should be skilled in problem solving and experienced in designing scalable, resilient, and fault tolerant architectures. You're also an effective communicator and a strong team player.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using Cypress.io with TS/JS.
- Work with Playwright (Codeceptjs/Puppeteer) to test features, including heavy use of mocking techniques for HTTP and WebSocket protocols.
- Use Selenium WebDriver to write automation tests for third party APIs and services from Apigee.
- Integrate Jenkins as a CI/CD tool to run tests and suites across QA/Dev/Stage environments.
- Write unit tests using Jest.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve bugs.
- Operate within Agile methodology, using Jira for task management and Zephyr for test case management.
- Use Testomat.io for reporting and auditing automated test results.
- Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role.
- Experience in project management and QA methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Proficiency with tools/languages such as Jest, NodeJS, Selenium WebDriver, and Cypress.io.
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical aptitude.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic production environment.
- Customer focus, quality mindset, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
