The Redline Group is working with our Gloucestershire-based customer to secure the services of a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks on an initial 3-6 month basis. The role can be completed on a hybrid basis, with an initial period fully on-site to get up to speed with the project.

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination, allowing candidates to operate through their own PSC.

Our customer has a strong presence in both commercial and domestic markets, supporting their expanding client base with sophisticated electro-mechanical products. You will support a highly technical project involving reverse engineering and design modifications of a product range. The role requires significant internal liaison, problem solving, and documentation. It is ideal for someone skilled at identifying missing design elements and thinking creatively.

Key Skills required - Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, Gloucestershire:

• Strong experience with Solidworks and associated PDM
• Proven experience in reverse engineering product designs to resolve technical issues
• Experience with sheet metal and fabricated designs
• Experience in piping and pump design

Excellent communication skills are essential due to the need to liaise across multiple business units.
