Job DescriptionThe Job Mission
This role supports the management of the NDT scope for Hinkley Point C.
You'll work across multiple stakeholders and ensure quality execution of the NDT contract.
You'll help implement advanced PAUT solutions replacing conventional radiography.
- Coordinate with NDT Project Manager and Technical Lead for delivery of site engineering
- Manage and update contractor document list and surveillance plans
- Drive the deployment of PAUT in place of radiographic testing
- Respond to Technical Queries and Early Warnings from site teams
- Ensure alignment between NDT and MEH installation contracts
- Support on-site integration with other engineering and project teams
- Make on-site decisions within defined engineering boundaries
- Report into the Engineering Construction Lead with regular progress updates
Essential Skills
- Experience in NDT or contract engineering within complex project environments
- Familiarity with multiple NDT techniques including PAUT
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and safety in high-integrity sectors
- Demonstrated ability to deliver to time, cost and quality under pressure
- Stakeholder management and cross-discipline coordination experience
- Ability to work autonomously with sound judgment
- Competence in technical documentation and surveillance plans
- Commercial and contractual awareness
Desired Skills
- Degree in Engineering or relevant technical field
- Chartered Engineer status (or working toward it)
- Knowledge of PWR systems or operations
- Proficiency in French or CDM Regulations
- Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (e.g., PCN or equivalent)
