Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitor

Location: Wakefield (with travel to Halifax, Huddersfield & Brighouse)

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE Career Progression & Exceptional Benefits

Are you an experienced solicitor seeking to specialise further in contentious trusts and probate? This is your opportunity to join a respected regional law firm, renowned for its supportive culture, complex casework, and commitment to professional development.

Our client is looking for a talented Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitor to join their Private Client team. You'll handle a broad caseload, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate and contentious inheritance matters, with the chance to develop your expertise on complex issues.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of private client and contentious probate matters from instruction to completion
• Draft wills and prepare lasting powers of attorney
• Handle estate administration, trusts, and inheritance disputes
• Conduct client meetings in person, including home visits
• Maintain the highest standards of client care and service

• Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience (PQE) in Private Client law
• Proven experience in contentious probate and trusts (UK practice essential)
• STEP qualification or working towards (preferred)
• Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (preferred)
• Excellent communication, client care, and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
• Genuine enthusiasm for private client work and career progression
