About syncHR
syncHR is a People Tech services company and partnerships program specializing in ATS and HRIS implementation, with a primary focus on Ashby. We help companies optimize their talent acquisition and people operations technology stacks through expert configuration, integration, and ongoing support. Our existing audience of HR and recruiting professionals is growing rapidly, and we're ready to scale our content presence to match.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Video Content Creator & Producer to become the on-screen face of syncHR. You'll host, produce, and edit video content across YouTube and social platforms, turning our deep expertise in ATS, HRIS, and People Tech into engaging, on-brand videos that educate and grow our audience. This is a high-impact role: you'll launch a content engine that will quickly scale channel growth and eventually support a training library.
What You'll Do
- On-Camera Hosting: Serve as the primary on-screen talent for all syncHR video content, delivering material with clarity, confidence, and personality.
- YouTube Shorts & Long-Form Content: Produce quick how-to videos, software walkthroughs, and tips on ATS platforms (especially Ashby), HRIS systems, and the broader People Tech ecosystem.
- Partnership Announcements: Create polished announcement videos for new syncHR partnerships, product integrations, and company milestones.
- Training Video Production: Develop structured training modules covering ATS/HRIS setup, configuration, and best practices, designed to live behind a paywall as a premium offering.
- End-to-End Video Production: Handle filming, editing, graphics, captioning, and final delivery. You own the full production pipeline from raw footage to published content.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure every piece of content aligns with syncHR's visual identity, tone, and messaging standards. You'll receive brand guidelines and creative direction, but will be trusted to execute independently.
- Channel Growth: Collaborate with the founding team on content strategy, publishing cadence, and audience engagement to rapidly scale the YouTube channel and social presence.
What We're Looking For
- On-Camera Presence: You're comfortable and natural on camera. You can take a topic you've just learned and explain it in a way that feels authoritative and approachable.
- Video Production & Editing Skills: Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar). You can shoot, light, edit, and deliver polished content independently.
- Content Creator Mindset: You understand what performs on YouTube thumbnails, hooks, pacing, and retention. Bonus if you've grown a channel or produced content that has driven measurable engagement.
- Coachability & Collaboration: All subject matter content, scripts, and training will be provided to you. You need to be a fast learner who can absorb technical HR/recruiting concepts and translate them into clear, watchable videos.
- Brand Sensitivity: You take creative direction well and can adapt your style to match an established brand. Consistency matters.
- Reliability & Self-Direction: This is a remote role. You manage your own production schedule, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with HR technology, recruiting workflows, or the ATS/HRIS space.
- Experience creating software tutorials or SaaS walkthrough content.
- Existing YouTube channel or portfolio demonstrating on-camera work and editing ability.
- Motion graphics or animation skills for intro/outro sequences and explainer overlays.
- Experience with content monetization (memberships, courses, gated content).
How This Role Works
syncHR is a two-person founding team, and you'll work directly with us. We will provide all the content direction, subject matter expertise, scripts, and training you need. Your job is to take that material and turn it into a great video. Think of it as: we bring the knowledge; you bring the production. Over time, as you learn the space, there will be room to take on more creative ownership.
To Apply
Please submit the following:
- A brief introduction about yourself and why this role interests you.
- Links to video content you've created (YouTube channel, portfolio, reel, etc.).
- A short sample video (1-2 minutes): pick any software tool and record a quick how-to walkthrough as if you were presenting for syncHR. This doesn't need to be about HR tech; we want to see your on-camera presence, editing style, and ability to explain something clearly.
