Content Designer (Contract) | Inside IR35 | Public Sector

Location: Stratford, London (Hybrid - 2 days on-site per week)
Day Rate: £425/day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months (extensions likely)
Start Date: Late January

SR2 is supporting a major public sector digital programme and is looking for an experienced Content Designer to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working on high-impact digital services.
You'll be responsible for creating clear, accessible content that supports user needs and meets Government Digital Service (GDS) standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and iterate clear, concise content for digital services, aligned to accessibility and usability standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including policy, design, and development.
• Apply content governance, plain English, and inclusive design practices.
• Operate within agile delivery teams to support iterative service improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience as a Content Designer within UK public sector or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong working knowledge of GDS standards, accessibility, and content design best practices.
• Ability to translate complex information into plain English for diverse user groups.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in agile, user-centred delivery teams.
